Qingpu sees tourism boom during Qingming holiday Release time:April 09,2025

During the Qingming Festival holiday, Qingpu's major tourist attractions welcomed a surge of visitors, creating a consumption boom in the cultural tourism market.

According to statistics, the district received 767,500 tourist visits during the holiday, a year-on-year increase of 7.27 percent. The average room occupancy rate at major resort hotels reached 56.42 percent, up 7.57 percent year-on-year, while local homestays achieved 62.06 percent occupancy, representing 20.16 percent growth.

The newly designated national-level tourism and leisure block Panlong Tiandi launched a limited-time "Flower Market·Spring Celebration" theme event, attracting 400,000 visitors. Residents and tourists flocked to the waterside market to admire flowers, green plants, intangible cultural heritage displays, and handicrafts, generating 14 million yuan (US$1.91 million) in consumption.

Zhujiajiao Ancient Town saw peak visitation with 147,200 tourists over three days. Oriental Land hosted a kite festival, presenting an artistic and experiential spring celebration that drew 22,400 visitors. The Art-M Cultural Creative Park attracted crowds with activities like sunny lawn music live shows and handmadeqingtuan(green rice dumpling) experiences.

Bailian Qingpu Outlets organized major holiday promotions with significant brand discounts, drawing 137,000 participants and generating 85.05 million yuan in sales. The Uni Vanke Mall held its "Sky Market" Qingming promotional series featuring food, cultural creations and handicraft stalls, offering unique shopping experiences to 196,000 visitors and driving 13.55 million yuan in consumption.
