Yangtze River Delta launches unified measures to boost power business environment Release time:August 14,2025
On August 8, the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) Integration Demonstration Zone held its first promotional event on optimizing the power business environment in the “Water Town Living Room.” Power suppliers and government officials from Shanghai’s Qingpu, Suzhou’s Wujiang, and Zhejiang’s Jiashan jointly unveiled 15 unified measures, introducing new “better power use” commitments and service packages to create a world-class power business climate.
The measures respond to guidelines from the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration, focusing on shorter connection times, lower costs, stronger grids, and improved services. Initiatives include contract-based connections, expanding zero-investment access for low-voltage users, cross-regional “one-stop” utility services, and 24/7 emergency power restoration.
At the event, Qingpu Power Company highlighted its contract-based model, which sets clear deadlines and responsibilities to ensure efficient connections. Agreements were signed with major enterprises, including Shanghai Lingang Qingpu Development Co. and Alibaba’s computing center. The three power firms pledged to deepen collaboration, align standards, and drive a more efficient, reliable, and customer-friendly power supply across the YRD.
