Qingpu to host inaugural waterfront music festival this weekend Release time:October 15,2025
The first Shanghai Qingpu Waterfront Music Festival, an event blending international music trends with the cultural heritage of the Jiangnan region, will take place on October 18–19 at the South Section of Shangda Central Park in QingpuDistrict.
On October 18, the Rolling Stone China · Shanghai Qingpu New City Music Festival will kick off with an exciting lineup of seven artists: Leo1Bee, Zheng Renyu, Veegee, Caelan Moriarty, YoungCaptain, MC Jin, and Mao Buyi, in order of appearance. From 2pmto 8:40pm, the performers will present a dynamic mix of rock, pop, rap, and more, creating an immersive audiovisual experience for the audience.
On October 19, the festival will continue as a featured program of the “Art Sky” series under the 24th China Shanghai International Arts Festival. The day will be dedicated to Jin Chengzhi and the Shanghai Rainbow Chamber Singers, who will deliver a captivating choral performance by the water.
In addition to the music, a themed market will be set up, showcasing Qingpu’s local delicacies and intangible cultural heritage. The market aims to integrate local traditions and folk elements into the festival atmosphere, allowing visitors to explore Qingpu’s cultural charm between musical acts.
Venue: South Section of Shangda Central Park, Qingpu District (North of 833 Qing’an Road)
Transporttips: Visitors can take Metro Line 17 from Shanghai Hongqiao Transportation Hub to QingpuNew CityStation, with the entire trip taking about 45 minutes. Free parking and shuttle bus services will be provided for those driving to the festival.
