The city's first 16-meter deep diving pool is set to open in Qingpu's Huaxin Town, where it will also host a national diving competition.

The facility is located within the Fengqi Hui commercial complex in Huaxin Town and is currently in the final stages of renovation.

"In late November, the ChinaFreeDiving GoldenLeague ShanghaiStop will kick off here. We are going all out with preparations to ensure the event proceeds smoothly,"Zhu Mingxiang, the project lead for Fengqi Hui, revealed.

In collaboration withRucker Park, the project has been developed into a 7,200-square-meter "deepbluedecompressionscene." It will also be designated as theRucker Park Yangtze River Delta Diving Academy (tentative name).

"Here, visitors can not only experience the thrill of diving and surfing but also systematically learn professional skills and obtain globally recognized diving certifications," Zhu added.

As a large-scale commercial project in Huaxin Town, Fengqi Hui is situated at the intersection of Fengge Road and Xule RoadN., with a total floor area ofabout100,000 square meters above and below ground. The complex includes commercial spaces, apartments, a hotel, and underground parking.

The project has already introduced two flagship offerings—Rucker SSR Sports Park andRucker Diving World—alongside supporting amenities such as dining, retail, and education and training services.
