Covering a land area of 135 Mu and a building area of 8000 square meters, Grand View Garden is a Shanghai style dream park built according to the description in "Dream of Red Mansions", the first of its kind in China. The Garden consists of over 20 scenic spots including "Visiting Villa (Grand View Hall), Green Delight, Weeping Bamboo Lodge, Alpinia Orchard, Royal Benevolence Complex, Mid-autumn Studio, Smartweed Breeze Cot, Lotus Fragrance Pavilion, Warm Fragrance island, Paddy-Sweet Cottage, Concave Pavilion, Convex Green Villa, Pear Fragrance Court, Green Lattice Nunnery, Peony Garden, Emerald Dripping Pavilion, Reed Snow Shed, Marble Boat, Fragrance Pavilion (Bridge), and Winding Path, etc. The whole garden is well organized with grand architecture, fine carving, strange stones, ancient trees and bamboos, presenting a royal and elegant style of Jiangnan gardens. It is a recreation of the literature of "Dream of Red Mansions".


Since it was opened to the public till now, the Grand View Garden has been the tourism venue for thousands of people, the CPC and state leaders, senior leaders from foreign countries, domestic and overseas figures and has been popular in the world. It has won the national architecture "Lu Ban Prize", prize for "Top 10 Buildings" in Shanghai, "Ten Best Leisure Spots", and "Excellent Building of Shanghai in the 50th Anniversary of China", etc. In 2002, it was selected as national AAAA Class scenic spot and Shanghai's Five Star Garden. The Grand View Garden has a complete service system that integrates meal, accommodation, tourism, shopping and entertainment and has been the best base for domestic and overseas movie, TV show and photography fans.
