Introduction to Qingpu Supply and Marketing Cooperative Release time:August 18,2023
The Qingpu District Supply and Marketing Cooperative was established in 1951 and serves as the leading body for all supply and marketing cooperatives in the region, as well as the managing institution for social assets. It operates as a cooperative economic organization with the purpose of serving the agricultural sector. Since its inception, the cooperative has continually deepened institutional reforms, innovated its business mechanisms, and expanded its service domains. It has gradually transitioned from traditional operational methods to modern distribution formats, from simple buying and selling operations to comprehensive business services, and from single supply and marketing cooperation to a comprehensive multi-domain collaboration. As a result, it has transformed into a new type of rural cooperative economic organization that excels in operational services and consistently demonstrates its public service function.
Currently, the cooperative has established eight grassroots supply and marketing cooperatives: Huancheng Supply and Marketing Cooperative, Xujing Supply and Marketing Cooperative, Huaxin Supply and Marketing Cooperative, Chonggu Supply and Marketing Cooperative, Baihe Supply and Marketing Cooperative, Zhujiajiao Supply and Marketing Cooperative, Liantang Supply and Marketing Cooperative, and Jinze Supply and Marketing Cooperative. These grassroots cooperatives have jointly established 241 comprehensive service stations for agricultural support in various towns, streets, villages, and communities across the entire district. Moreover, the cooperative has set up 11 recycling points for renewable resources, essentially forming a comprehensive agricultural service network that covers both urban and rural areas. Furthermore, the cooperative is designated by the government as the responsible unit for flood control professional material storage. It operates eight flood control material reserve warehouses throughout the region to ensure the preparation and supply of flood control materials.
The cooperative currently consists of six departments: Administrative Affairs Department, Party and Mass Work Department, Social Affairs Department, Planning and Finance Department, Inspection and Audit Department, and Service Assurance Department. It also owns two wholly-owned enterprises: Qingpu Commercial Company and Shenghao Investment Company; manages entrusted businesses, including commercial machinery factories and collective tobacco and liquor stores; and holds stakes in eight companies: Zepeng Industrial Company, Xinshenghui Industrial Company, Chongxiao Industrial Company, Lianxiao Trade Company, Yuansen Industrial Company, Xinze Sheng Industrial Company, Runquan Industrial Company, and Agricultural and Commercial Bank.
In light of the new situation, the Qingpu District Supply and Marketing Cooperative will deeply study and implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. With serving agriculture as its fundamental purpose, it will adhere to the direction of socialist market economic reforms and the basic attributes of cooperative economics. It will expedite the establishment of an organizational and service system that meets the needs of the socialist market economy, urban-rural integration, and modern urban agriculture. The cooperative will comprehensively enhance its economic strength, development vitality, and service capabilities. In doing so, it will play a proactive and significant role in the construction of an ecologically livable New Qingpu and the realization of the comprehensive development strategy of Qingpu.
