Remote ECG center offers real-time monitoring and early treatment Release time:January 04,2024

The Remote ECG Warning and Diagnosis Center in East China was established at Shanghai Yida Hospital on Wednesday.

Patients can now receive electrocardiogram tests in their own neighborhood, while also enjoying medical treatment from a city-level hospital with emergency care services immediately available.

Ma Wenjing, a doctor from the remote ECG center, said that regardless of whether a patient is at home or outside, their ECG can be monitored in real-time. Doctors can view the ECG remotely through the center's online system. If the ECG shows abnormalities, the system will send an alert to doctors who can further track and assess the patient's condition before providing feedback to the patient or their family. With this timely treatment and care, the patient will be able to receive medical treatment in the shortest amount of time.

All ECG information is digitalized and recorded through the center’s platform and reviewed by specialist doctors remotely.

This remote monitoring system extends the health monitoring of cardiac patients and sub-healthy populations from hospitals to the outside, meaning that cardiac patients are no longer only monitored when they are in the hospital but also while they are living their daily lives.

A timely warning system can also be in place to make sure the patient's golden treatment time will not be missed. It can effectively reduce the risk of illness, improve the patient's quality of life and ensure life safety.
