The Midea Global Innovation Park in Qingpu District was successfully topped out recently.

From a distance, the Midea Global Innovation Park looks like a "technology park" integrating technology and nature. It will feature high-end business, R&D offices, forest landscapes and shared spaces and bring together industries such as energy conservation and environmental protection, new materials, artificial intelligence and information technology.

The total construction area of the project is 400,000 square meters, with a total investment exceeding 7 billion yuan (US$980.39 million).

After completion, it will serve as the headquarters of Midea Group in Shanghai, attracting about 10,000 high-end R&D talents from around the world. The project plans to introduce R&D sectors in nine major areas such as industrial Internet and intelligent manufacturing and continue to upgrade Midea's global R&D system by innovating and developing basic technology, artificial intelligence, user research and smart supply chain.
