The Shanghai Midea Global Innovation Park, as a major engineering project in Shanghai, is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The constructors have been working during the May Day holiday, contributing their strength to the construction of a smart city.

The Midea innovation park integrates high-end business, R&D offices, forest landscapes and shared spaces. It brings together technology industries such as energy conservation and environmental protection, new materials, artificial intelligence and information technology. From a distance, the new park looks like a "technology park" where technology and nature blend.

Currently, there are 80 management personnel and 1,600 construction workers on the project. The main work involves exterior wall decoration, interior decoration and overall outdoor work. It is expected to be completed and delivered by the end of this year, according to Wang Shuo, the business manager of the Midea Global Innovation Park project.

The total construction area of the park is 400,000 square meters, with a total investment of over 7 billion yuan (US$970.87 million).

After completion, it will serve as the Shanghai headquarters base of Midea Group, aiming to introduce 10,000 high-end R&D talents from around the world. It plans to introduce R&D departments in nine major fields, including industrial internet and intelligent manufacturing, and will continue to innovate and develop basic technologies, artificial intelligence, user research and smart supply chain applications, helping Qingpu to create a new highland for digital development.
