AI enthusiasts gather for Shanghai Youth AI Innovation Competition Release time:August 01,2024

The final round of the seventh Shanghai Youth Artificial Intelligence Innovation Competition and National Invitational kicked off at the Pinghe Bilingual School in Qingpuon Saturday.

After the preliminary selection rounds, nearly 1,200 students excelled in three major tracks: Boundless AI, AI Drones and AI Innovative Applications, which included eight sub-projects, making it to the first offline finals.

Since its launch in January this year, the competition has received enthusiastic responses from young AI enthusiasts, with over 5,000 participants registering.

This year, the competition introduced various segments, including flagship contests, special events and innovation exploration camps, aiming to promote AI education extensively and across various fields.

Considering the widespread application of artificial intelligence in various scenarios, the flagship contest was divided into four age groups: preschool, elementary, junior high and senior high. It featured 11 projects acrossfivecategories, designed around current hot topics and practical needs such as ChatGPT, smart communities and public services. These projects involved creative problem-solving and the design and development of application systems.
