A river of time flows through Qingpu during light festival Release time:August 14,2024
The inaugural Shanghai International Light Festival's Qingpu event will take place from September 22 (Sunday) to September 30 (Monday).
The Qingpu venue adopts a "Timeline Crossing" model, unveiling a dazzling scroll of light and shadows. A river of time flows from east to west across the Qingpu map, narrating the past, present and future, showcasing the Jiangnan cultural essence of Qingpu and tracing the water memories of Qingpu as the source of Shanghai.
The festival is structured around a "1+3+5+N" light and shadow concept, highlighting the regional characteristics of water town charm, Jiangnan style and international flair.
Here, “1” refers to a lighting ceremony at the opening, “3” denotes three major light and shadow core display areas, “5” points to five key photogenic spots: Panlong Tiandi, Zhaoxiang Outlets, Qushui Garden, Zhujiajiao Ancient Town and Jinze Ancient Town, and “N” signifies multiple recommended spots like the National Exhibition and Convention Center area and the surrounding water system.
The Qingpu venue hosts various static exhibitions and major light shows such as mapping light shows, light space creations, immersive light and water tours, musical fountain shows and themed lighting exhibitions, offering audiences a soul-stirring immersive feast of light and aesthetic art!
For instance, Panlong Tiandi integrates historical context and new functions into the texture of a Jiangnan water town. This festival, themed around water tours, allows visitors to navigate through flowing light and time, experiencing the brilliant splendor of Qingpu as it shines through the rivers of time.
The ecological corridor of Qushui Garden extends the lighting landscape, blending modern gardening ideas with traditional Jiangnan garden styles to present a unique waterfront landscape rich in Jiangnan cultural heritage. Through the "Four Seasons" projection show, linked by Qingpu's unique flowers and seasons, the area showcases the poetic and historical heritage of Qingpu.
