To support the relocation of Huawei's LianqiuLakeR&D Center and effectively serve employees’commuting needs, the first two customized bus routes officially began operation onMonday,addressingthe "lastkilometer" issue from Metro Line 17 to thecenter.

October 14 marked the first working day for Huawei employees at the new Qingpu LianqiuLakeR&D Center. Around 5 pm, buses labeled "LianqiuLakeCustomized Bus" and "LianqiuLake-17 Line" were lined up along Peiya RoadS.and Cenbu RoadE,departingat 5-minute intervals.

An office worker surnamedZhou, who has worked at Huawei for 10 years,said:"Today is the first day the company moved to Qingpu. In the morning, I took the shuttle bus right after getting off the metro, which took us directly to the company. We no longer have to walk long distances. After work, we can also take the bus directly to Line 17. This convenience solves the 'lastkilometer' problem for employees."

Currently, two customized bus routes are in operation: a shuttle bus from Metro Line 17 to the LianqiuLakebase and the Qingpu DZ1 route.

The LianqiuLake shuttlebus primarily serves rush hours. Huawei employees can take Metro Line 17 to Zhujiajiao Station, transfer to theshuttlebus at the Zhujiajiao bus hub, and reach Peiya RoadS.and Cenbu RoadE. station in about 30 minutes, then walk to the campus. During the evening, employees can take the bus from the same station tothe Oriental Landbushub and transfer to Metro Line 17 to return to the city.

The Qingpu DZ1 customized bus travels along DianshanLakeAvenue, starting from Dayingpu Road and Qingtai Road to the Huawei LianqiuLakeR&D Center.

Next, the Qingpu District Construction Management Commissionwill adjust and optimize the bus network layout around the Huaweicenter in phases, based on the relocation progress of the Huawei base and the occupancy of Huawei's Xicen apartments, ensuring convenient travel for Huawei employees.

In the future, as more transportation facilities like the Xicen Station on Metro Line 17 and the Xicen Station on the Shanghai segment of theShanghai-Suzhou-JiaxingIntercity Railway are put into operation, transportation near Huawei LianqiuLakewill become even more convenient.
