Bailian Qingpu Outlet's 2nd phase breaks ground, aiming for Asia's largest Release time:November 21,2024

The second phase of the Bailian Qingpu Outlet has officially begun construction. Over its 18 years of operation, Bailian Qingpu Outlet has become a popular short-trip shopping destination in the Yangtze River Delta region.

Construction of the parking lot commencedin November, with the commercial buildings scheduled to beginconstructionin February next year and expected to be completed in 2026. The new phase, located east of the first phase, plans to have around 100 shops and an additional 2,500 parking spaces.

The first and second phases will span the new Tongbo Pond, connected by two vehicle and pedestrian bridges. The total building area will exceed 200,000 square meters, aiming to become the largest outlet in Asia upon completion.

The second phase will integrate surrounding cultural and tourism resources, blending the ancient Jiangnan water town charm with commercial expressions. It will continue to explore and refine the unique "micro-vacation" concept of Bailian Outlets.

As the first open-air outlet in China, Bailian Qingpu Outlet has gradually established a regional consumer hub rooted in Shanghai and extending to surrounding areas. After several renovations, it now hosts over 400 shops and more than 600 brands, and it is the first and only outlet in China to surpass 6 billion yuan(US$828.73 million)in annual sales.
