Simon Philips, 55, hails from London, England. Since 1998, he has developed a deep connection with China. Over the past 26 years, his career has undergone several transformations, but he has never severed his ties with China. Now, he focuses both his career and personal life on this vast land.

Talking about his life in China, Simon expresses that he feels safe, convenient, and efficient, especially in accessing medical resources. His account, "Simon in China," has posted 172 videos on social media, witheightfocusing on medical experiences in China.

This isn't his first visit to Zhongshan Hospital's Qingpubranch. He admits, "I have great confidence in this hospital. I've brought my two sons here before, and they received excellent treatment. I've also been here several times myself."

Simon specifically mentions being impressed by the ultrasound service. "In the UK, it takes months to get an ultrasound, but here, it can be done in just a few hours."

In China, besides medical experiences, many otherthingsattract Simon. Safety is a major reason. "China's safety is incredible. Having traveled to over 100 countries, I now prioritize safety above all else for my quality of life. That's why I brought my sons here."

Shanghai is Simon's chosen city for residence. "The transportation in Shanghai is a key reason I chose to live here. It's extremely convenient, and with the rail and flight networks, you can travel almost anywhere in China."

Unlike some expatriates who choose to live in downtown Shanghai, Simon opted for Qingpu District. "With a similar quality of life, I find the pace and environment in Qingpu more relaxing compared to downtown Shanghai." The convenient transportation between Qingpu and downtown allows Simon to easily commute. "I love Shanghai's environment; it's urban and modern. You can enjoy your time in the city and retreat back to Qingpu for a more laid-back atmosphere."

Like many foreigners, Simon has found his place in China. He has witnessed Shanghai's tremendous changes and personally experienced the opportunities for development here. In the future, he plans to leave more footprints here, capturing his shared journey with China through his lens.
