On the morning of Sundayat 8am, the 2024 Yangtze River Delta Qingpu NewTownHalf Marathon kicked off, with 5,000participants running acrossthe watersystemparkaround Qingpu District.

Starting from Qingpu Cubic, the 21.0975-kilometer half marathon route passed through Zhaoxiang Town, YingpuSubdistrict, Xiayang Subdistrict and Zhujiajiao Town.

After intense competition, Sheng Wang won the men's half marathon with a time of 1:06:29, while Wang Qiaoxia claimed the women's title with a time of 1:18:02. In the corporate team race,STOExpress won the team championship with a time of 6:32:58.

The family fun run also took place simultaneously. Among the many participants,thereporter met a father and son from Qingpu—Shen Feng and Shen Yixiao. Shen Feng, an experienced runner who has participated in numerous marathons and half marathons, signed up his 10-year-old son for the fun run, hoping to let him experience the joy of sports and the power of perseverance.

The successful hosting of this half marathon fully showcased Qingpu's achievements in the integrated ecological and green development of the Yangtze River Delta, the construction of the Hongqiao International Open Hub, and the vitality of Qingpu NewTown.
