At the beginning of the new year, the construction of the“Square HallWater Courtyard”project in the core area of the Yangtze River Delta Integration Demonstration Zone is in full swing.
The "quadranglecourtyard" formof the project, composed of "five halls and three bridges," hastaken shape. The project is expected to be completed by May this year.
Located at the junction of Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang provinces, spanning the Taipu River, theSquare HallWater Courtyard is a landmark building in the demonstration zone and the first cross-provincial building project in the country.
From an aerial view of the ongoing construction, the five halls and three bridges on the rippling Taipu River have all been structurally topped out, and the "quadranglecourtyard" form is fully presented.
Among them, the main hall, Zhejiang Hall and Anhui Hall on the south side of the Taipu River are nearing completion of the construction of the exterior wall decoration, while the installation of mechanical and electrical facilities and interior finishing inside the halls are in full swing.
On the north bank of the Taipu River, the Shanghai Hall and Jiangsu Hall have beengenerallycompleted. The three pedestrian bridges, using traditional Chinese architectural bracket forms and full steel structure welding technology, are a national first.
During thisSpring Festival, more than 300 workerswereon site at theSquare HallWater Courtyard project working intensively. The project is expected to be completed by May 2025, when the main hall and the four halls of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui will host cross-regional cultural exchanges, important meetings, and professional exhibitions. It will exemplify the development concept of urban-water symbiosis and regional sharing.
