The 13th Xiayang Loquat Culture Tourism and Shopping Festival, part of the 2025 "Double Five Shopping Festival" series, officially opened on May 23. Running until June 2, the event is themed "Golden Loquats, Charming Xiayang" and features 12 special activities, aiming to offer visitors a new "beauty + flavor" consumption experience.

Known as the "first fruit of early summer," loquats thrive at Shanghai Lianyi Loquat Ecological Garden, which cultivates over 200,000 square meters of white-fleshed loquats. The garden also explores loquat deep-processing techniques, offering unique products like dried loquats and loquat flower tea.

During the festival, visitors can purchase freshly picked loquats and their derivative products, as well as specialty agricultural goods and handicrafts from Shanghai, Anhui, Yunnan, Hunan, Guangxi, and other regions, along with high-quality local produce from Qingpu. On weekend evenings, a music night market adds a "day + night" consumption scenario.
