The annual Blueberry Harvest Festival at Shanghai Blueberry Cultural Experience Park, located in Qingpu Modern Agricultural Park, will run from May 31 to July 10, inviting visitors to indulge in sweet, juicy berries straight from the bush.
Spanning over 200 mu, the park cultivates multiple premium blueberry varieties known for their exceptional sweetness, plump texture, and rich flavor. Strolling through the sun-drenched fields, visitors will find branches heavy with ripe berries, each bursting with vibrant taste when picked fresh.
The park offers family-friendly activities beyond blueberry harvesting, such as crayfish fishing for outdoor fun, kids' tractor rides letting little ones play "farmer for a day," and educational programs for young learners.
Besides, it is also developing exclusive blueberry products, including newly launched blueberry soda, with juices and wines in development.
As one of Shanghai's first four municipal agricultural zones, Qingpu Modern Agricultural Park pioneered blueberry cultivation in 2009 with imported varieties. Today, these berries have become a signature crop, showcasing the region's innovation in high-value agritourism.
