FIBA-certified basketball arena opens in Greater Hongqiao Release time:January 08,2026

The FIBA House of Basketball (Greater Hongqiao), a new 5,000-square-meter sports and lifestyle complex, has kicked off operations within the ALSO commercial section of Midea's Global Innovation Park.

Operated by Rucker Park, this integrated sports and social destination combines professional athletic facilities with the urban innovation ecosystem. It offers a versatile space for nearby residents, office workers, and sports enthusiasts, featuring activities such as basketball, swimming, pickleball, and billiards.

The FIBA House of Basketball is a global basketball culture promotion initiative by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). It aims to spread the history and culture of basketball while fostering sports education and exchange through professional venues and diverse experiences.

Following the first venue at FIBA's headquarters in Geneva and a location at the Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center, this new facility in Qingpu's Greater Hongqiao area becomes the world's third officially licensed venue.

The core of the venue includes a FIBA-certified professional basketball court. It features competition-grade flooring, lighting, hoops, and retractable bleachers, alongside a large LED display, making it suitable for hosting various basketball events. Additionally, the space houses three indoor pickleball courts operated by Rucker Park, multiple billiard tables, and a 50m x 25m international-standard heated swimming pool.

Beyond its sports functions, the venue deeply integrates F&B services following a "coffee by day, bar by night" concept with basketball culture exhibits, creating a lounge and social area.
