Global headquarters of Qingpu environment giant set to open by midyear Release time:March 10,2026
Shanghai SUSEnvironmentCo Ltd, a globally leading comprehensive environmental service provider rooted in Qingpu, is expected to launch its global headquarters by June 2026.
"The project's design fully adapts to the spatial and natural characteristics of the elongated site, emphasizing not only the integration of architecture with nature but also balancing the multifunctional needs of headquarters operations, research and innovation, and ecological presentation," said Fang Wei,rotating CEO ofSUSEnvironment,addingthat the facility will serve as a global hub for environmental technology research and a model window for green practices.
Founded in Qingpu in 2008,SUSEnvironment has built a full-industry-chain service system centered on waste-to-energy. It has been named one of China'stop 10influentialenterprises insolidwaste for nine consecutive years and is now the world's largest supplier of waste incineration equipment and technology, as well as a top-three global investor and operator of waste-to-energy projects.
"We have invested in over 90 low-carbon eco-industrial parks worldwide, processing approximately 120,000 tons of waste daily and generating about 20 billion kWh of green electricity annually—enough to meet the yearly electricity needs ofabout8 million households," Fangsaid.
In advancing green development and supporting China's dual carbon goals,SUSEnvironment has consistently led the industrywithdigital transformationasa key driver. The company has developed the Xi'an Gaoling waste-to-energy plant into the industry's first AI plus digital twin smart factory. This facility integrates IoT, big data analytics, artificial intelligence, and automated control systems, creating an intelligent power plant system covering the entire process from waste reception and incineration power generation to flue gas purification and operational management.
Upon completion of the new headquarters, the company will deepen collaboration with Qingpu District and local partners to jointly develop global benchmark projects integrating technology research and development, environmental demonstration, and circular economy initiatives.
