Korean-themed night market blends Jiangnan charm, global flavors in Qingpu District Release time:July 22,2026

A night market has opened at Panlong Xintiandi in Qingpu District this summer, offering delicious Korean street food and trendy evening entertainment to boost Shanghai's summer nighttime economy.

The new bazaar blends traditional Jiangnan water town aesthetics with modern Korean street vibes. Soft sunset glow and ancient architecture set a tranquil backdrop, while colorful neon signs, street food stalls and bustling crowds create a lively urban nightlife atmosphere.

The market features a lineup of authentic Korean snacks. Signature spicy stir-fried rice cakes deliver chewy texture and balanced sweet and spicy flavor paired with savory hot fish cake soup.

Sizzling grilled pork belly, crispy fried chicken, seaweed rice rolls and cold mango shaved ice serve as visitor favorites. Cheese pastries with stretchy milk filling, marinated platters, craft cocktails and fresh draft beer further diversify the dining experience.

The venue provides a one-stop destination covering staple meals, meat dishes, desserts and drinks. Casual strolls among the stalls allow visitors to taste multiple specialties while capturing Korean drama streetscapes.

The contrast between quiet ancient waterfront scenery and vibrant modern market culture creates a unique regional attraction.

The market also stages live cultural performances featuring traditional Korean gayageum music and folk dance and consumption vouchers.

The Korean night market operates daily from 5pm to midnight through the end of July.

Panlong's history as a significant representative of Jiangnan culture dates back more than 1,400 years ago. By the early half of the 20th century, it had grown into a booming economic hub. Panlong Xintiandi has well preserved the town's water system and bridge culture, as well as its unique cross-street pattern.
